So can you even believe that Corbin is three months old now?? GEEZERS. they grow so fast! I'm not sure how much he weighs now but my arms are getting like way buff so its gotta be a lot. ;) My super sweet hubby brought home a "bumbo" (pretty sure thats what its called..) but its just one of those chairs that helps your baby sit up. Corb looks SO cute in it...i love it! I have gotten him to laugh once...and then its like he just forgot how or something. I just try and remind myself...baby steps!
So on his 3 month birthday (it was actually on September 30th) I took him for a swimming sesh! Mother Nature totally cooperated with us and made it a whopping 90 degree birthday party so we splish splashed around and then exhausted little Corbin took a nap in the shade while I got my last rays on before Fall really starts. I think he will definitely remember this 3 month birthday! :)
Chris and I have been busy trying to get back in shape...yes, both of us got pregnant together one year ago. Chris has been doing the Ultimate body challenge, aka Fat camp...which is 6 days a week! 'Sposed to help you drop like 3o el bees! I have just been trying to go to Idaho Athletic clubs kick boxing and strength training classes. The only problemo...the daycare they have there is SUPER scary. The first time I went there, there were about 11 kids (age 8ish and under) running around in a 10x10 room with ONE adult there to supervise. And this gal had her hands full with a baby...and didn't even acknowledge me. I had to ask her if she even worked there. She gave me a look like "Please...not another kid". Talk about a nightmare. So I dropped Corbin off with her and jumped up the stairs to go work out. JUST KIDDING......I grabbed my precious baby and got the heck out of there! I didn't dare bring him back. But then I realized it was 5:30pm when I went that day so it was probably their busiest time...so I decided I would check again the next time I went to see how busy they were. There were only like 3 kids this time and they were in a different room with a bunch of toys and stuff to play with so I decided to bring him back. One word to describe this second experience. Ghetto!! The class was only an hour long and it started at 12:30. so I figured it would be no big deal. There were a couple of kids playing and Corbin was asleep so I dropped him off and prayed he would not have a runny nose and a poopy diaper by the time I came back to get him. Long story short I come back to get him an hour later and they told me his feets got cold so they put some socks on him. They said he just barely fell back asleep. So I go to pick him up out of the swing (which was not swinging...he was just sitting in it) and pulled the blanket off him and saw the nasty...big...dirty socks this girl put on my little baby! AHHH. She told me they had run out of batteries for the swing...and next time to bring socks. So note to self: don't ever put your child through this again. Luckily he didn't get sick, and he didn't have a poopy diaper. Now I am switching to boring old work out videos!
That story turned out a lot longer then expected. Oh well...I will upload pictures later so be on the look out!
P.S I am pretty sure our seasons here in the BID are changing. It was cold through May, and it is still warm in October! Is it just me or is this Fall thing a big faker?!!

UG that sounds AWFUL with the little babysitting thing! It is SO hard to work out when you have kids. What worked for me though is I just walked for an hour a day until he was old enough (5-6 months) to go in a jogging stroller and then I started running every day. It was awesome because now he loves the stroller and loves walks! PLUS pushing a jogging stroller and running at the same time burns WAY more calories. :-D I guess the bummer about Boise is that it is COLD and you are coming up on winter so that idea probably won't work. Arg. Have fun with those work out videos! :-) Oh yeah, I also have a friend who I trade babysitting with so we can work out. That might be a good idea too! (Sorry this was SO long)
I totally know what you mean about the babysitting . . . There's this gym here a mile away that has free childcare, and I thought it would be perfect since I LOVE going to all sorts of classes, and then I checked it out and it was all dark and dirty. . . so then I checked the location 10 minutes away, and it was even worse. Sick. And depressing. I'd really like to get away from those videos too . . .
You really faked me out when you said you left corbin at the crazy day care anyways! ... i was so relieved when you said j/k :) ...good job exercising by the way...anyways, your son is just so cute!
love, Rebekah
