The best babysitter

I think it's safe to say we have found ourselves the BEST babysitter. It is hard finding good babysitters that you can trust, especially ones that are available last minute. That being said... we hope our girl, Mecale, sticks around for a LONG time and doesn't decide to go have babies of her own anytime soon. :) She will be a fabulous Mommy one day. Mecale and I worked together for a few years at Texas Roadhouse back when we were about 20. Fast forward about 6 years and I got an email from Mecale saying that she was going to school full time now and wasn't working. She was willing to babysit if I ever needed her to...needless to say we jumped on that and she is now our go-to girl. Last Friday night Chris and I went out to dinner and Mecale came and tended the kids. I know Corbin loves her when he wakes up in the morning saying "Where babysitter go?!" She reads them book after book and actually plays with them. The next day I got a text from Mecale saying she had snapped a couple of pics and wanted my email so she could send me them. Here is the email and the adorable pictures she took for us:

Ok so FYI:

When I had Kinlee on the baby swing I was super gentle, barely pushed at all...you hadn't told me if she usually does the baby swing there so I hope that's alright. It just seemed like Corbin was getting all the action and I wanted her to get in on the fun! (this part made me laugh! Of course she can swing :) She also called me right before they left asking where the sunscreen was. What babysitter thinks about sunscreen? We love it!)

Also, regarding the pic of Kinlee in the playhouse...I don't usually let your baby stick dirty outside balls in her mouth...I promise! She just went for it super fast while I was clicking. I assure you I took it right out and logically explained to her the importance of hygiene, especially when considering things to stick in our mouths. She stared at me blankly, which I took to mean she understood completely and won't do it again ;)

I had such a fun time with your two babies! Both so sweet and adorable, thanks again for calling me. I always enjoy seeing you and your sweet family.

Sincerely,
Mecale :)

I love this one of Corb's eyes

Aren't those adorable? I love them and also love knowing they are in good hands when we are gone. We leave for our big family vacation on Friday. We are taking the kids to Disneyland and few other fun parks for 10 days. Yes, 10. Are we crazy?! haha, maybe. I hope we survive :) I will have to get a picture of all the crap we have to take with us on the airplane. (It will seriously be a sight...double stroller, 2 carseats, pack-n-play, 4 bags, 2 carry-ons....oh my!) No wonder we hardly ever travel! Wish us luck!

Baby K is ONE!

Another year has flown right by me without my consent. Haha. My baby girl has turned ONE! I can't believe how fast that went. Here's a look back.

Kinlee is such a joy to have in our family. She has such a sweet spirit. I hear almost daily "She is such a good baby! Do you know how lucky you are?" And Yes, trust me I know. Chris and I both have said that if we knew we would get another baby like K, we would do it again in a heartbeat. She is walking like a pro these days! It is so cute to watch her little wobbly self wander around from room to room. I still can't believe she is a year old...my babies are growing up way too fast on me. She can also give kisses now, and she holds everything up to her ear like she is talking on the phone. It is funny how different her and Corbin's personalities are. I didn't think there was such a thing as "all girl" or "all boy", but so far these two totally are like that. We had her first birthday "lemonade" themed on Wednesday night and we kept it small with close friends and family, but this little girl sure did get spoiled! We are blessed to have such amazing people in our lives.

Happy Birthday Beautiful Girl!! Mommy and Daddy love you to the moon and back! XOXO

Happy Mother's Day!

I sure am glad there is an entire day dedicated to Mothers. What an important job we have as Moms. I have always appreciated and loved my Mom, but the minute I became a Mother myself, there was a completely different understanding. I don't think there is a harder job in the world...or a more rewarding job. The best thing I ever did was become a Mother! So a big thank you to my Mom for putting up with me...even on the bad days :)

And here are just a few shout outs to some of the Mom's in my life!

Of course, my Mom:

The best Mother in Law a girl could have:

My sister in laws, Jill and Amy:

My Grandma Siddoway:

And my Grandma Joanie:

And to all of my friends who are Mom's. Happy Mother's Day to every Mom in the world! Always remember that what you are doing is important. Even when it doesn't feel like it.
